About Us

Maa Kailadevi Temple is revered as an incarnation of the primordial energy, Mahayogini Maya who took birth as the child of Nanda-Yashoda. The father of Lord Krishna, Vasudeo was told by Lord Vishnu to leave Krishna with Yashoda maiyya and get her new born daughter back with him to the cell where he was imprisoned by Kansa. When Kansa tried to kill the baby, she took on her divine form and told him that the infant Lord Krishna was already safe and sound. She is now worshipped as Kaila Devi or Karauli Maiyya.
A detailed description of Kailadevi Ji is given in the Skanda Purana in the 65th Adhyaya wherein Devi ji proclaims that in the Kalyug, her name would be Kaila and she would be worshipped as Kaileshwari by her devotees.

Kaila Devi Mandir Trust

Preserving Faith, Serving Devotees

located in Karauli district of Rajasthan, Shri Kaila Devi Dham is a symbol of the unwavering faith of millions of devotees. The complete responsibility for the smooth management and development of this holy shrine rests on the shoulders of the Shri Kaila Devi Mandir Trust. Continuously carrying forward the traditional spirit of service of the Karauli royal family, under the able guidance of the Trust s Sole Trustee, Yadukul Chandrabhal Maharaja Krishan Chandra Pal Ji, this trust is not merely an administrative body, but a powerful medium to transform devotion towards Maa Kaila Devi into acts of social welfare. Under its efficient administration, the Trust manages the upkeep, daily rituals, and maintenance of the main Shri Kaila Devi Temple as well as all other temples within the premises with utmost dedication. Furthermore, its vision is not limited to the temple alone; it also plays a vital role in improving the infrastructure of Kaila village and surrounding rural areas, thereby enhancing the living standards of the people.

Keeping in mind the excellent facilities for pilgrims, the Trust operates modern and clean Dharamshalas (guesthouses) for the accommodation of devotees coming from far and wide, where proper arrangements for pure and sattvic food, prasad, and refreshments are made. Despite the heavy crowds, strict cleanliness and a continuous supply of safe drinking water are ensured within the premises. With the aim of promoting education and shaping the future, the Trust also runs a school to empower the society. In this school, quality education is provided from Junior KG to 12th standard in both Hindi and English mediums, enabling the children of rural areas to keep pace with the modern world. Prioritizing health, the hospital operated by the Trust provides immediate, affordable, and accessible medical assistance to sick pilgrims and local villagers. Additionally, various other welfare and philanthropic projects are supported from time to time to help the needy.

This entire region of Kailadevi is eternally consecrated by the divine presence of Maa Kaila Devi and the ceaseless devotion of her worshippers flowing through generations. The spiritual atmosphere here is such that even the biggest of egos are shattered, and all heads bow down in reverence in the court of the Mother Goddess. It is a land of spiritual practice where the patience and faith of the devotees never go in vain, and whoever comes here returns with infinite joy and lifelong peace and contentment. In essence, operating on the principle of "Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva" (Service to humanity is service to God), the Shri Kaila Devi Mandir Trust is presenting an outstanding example of faith and social service.
