Water is nature"s most precious resource, yet it is not always easily accessible in certain areas. Given the current circumstances, the need for its conservation has become highly critical and imminent.

Deeply recognizing the significance of "Jal Shakti" (water power), the trust has taken the following crucial steps towards water conservation and management:

  • Renovation and Expansion of the Main Dam: To increase water storage capacity, the trust has extensively repaired and expanded a large-scale dam on the Kalisil river.
  • Construction of Auxiliary Dams Downstream: For better water control and utilization, two smaller dams have been constructed downstream from the main dam.
  • Rainwater Harvesting: To prevent rainwater from going to waste and to replenish groundwater levels, the trust has constructed several check dams in nearby villages.
  • Special Focus on the Kaila Devi Sanctuary: Keeping the water needs of the local environment and wildlife in mind, four of these newly constructed check dams are situated specifically within the Kaila Devi Wildlife Sanctuary.

Through these well-planned efforts, the trust is not only addressing the immediate water needs of the local communities but also securing this invaluable resource for the future.
